Guests should not need another app
A ticket should open from the message that delivered it.
Create an event The first version was not a startup pitch. It was a printable QR ticket, a small scanner application, and a company event that needed to run smoothly.
A few years ago, we looked for a free or reasonably priced way to handle admission for a company’s annual party. The choices were built for public ticket sales, packed with unrelated features, or too expensive for a private guest list.
So we built it: a page in the company portal with a printable QR ticket, plus a small Windows scanner application running on handheld barcode computers. When someone arrived, the ticket was validated and marked as used in the database.
The interesting part was not the QR code. It was how much calmer the front door became when the guest list, ticket, and scan record were one system.
Private Event Tickets is the modern version of that idea: browser-based, Wallet-ready, usable from ordinary phones, and designed for organizations that already know whom they want to invite.
A ticket should open from the message that delivered it.
A guest list is not content for a discovery marketplace.
Green means admit. Red means stop. Details are available when needed.
Private admission should not carry the overhead of a public ticket marketplace.
The core remains private general admission: guided setup, spreadsheet and roster imports, separate companion tickets, secure delivery, Wallet passes, employee-portal retrieval, and synchronized admission. Organizers who need it can also connect Stripe and add a public ticket-sales page without forcing that complexity on a church dinner or company party.
