Who this is for
All PET users, with additional responsibility placed on organizers and account owners.
Lawful events and content
Do not use PET to create, promote, facilitate, or conceal illegal activity; violence; exploitation; trafficking; unlawful gambling; regulated sales without required licensing; infringement; or events that unlawfully discriminate. Content may not be deceptive, defamatory, pornographic, threatening, hateful, malicious, or designed to cause physical or financial harm.
No spam or unauthorized messaging
Only contact people when you have a lawful basis and a reasonable connection to the event. Purchased, scraped, harvested, guessed, or unrelated lists are prohibited. Do not obscure the sender, mislead recipients, bypass opt-outs, or send repeated unwanted messages. Obtain legally required consent before email or text delivery and retain evidence of that consent. PET may throttle or stop deliveries with high complaint, bounce, or opt-out rates.
Respect privacy
Upload only data needed for the event. Do not use PET for covert tracking, employment surveillance unrelated to admission, facial recognition, precise location monitoring, or the collection of passwords, full payment credentials, government identification numbers, medical records, biometrics, or other highly sensitive information unless PET has expressly approved the use in writing. Honor privacy requests and delete exports when no longer needed.
Protect accounts and access
Do not share owner/admin passwords; misrepresent identity or authority; access another organization; probe, scan, test, reverse engineer, scrape, or circumvent security; introduce malware; overload the Service; evade plan, scanner, rate, or ticket limits; or use automation except through PET-approved interfaces. Door staff access must be limited to people who need it and removed promptly after the event.
Ticket integrity and commerce
Do not forge, duplicate, resell, transfer, or manipulate tickets contrary to organizer rules or law. Organizers may not misstate availability, pricing, fees, venue, dates, refund terms, charitable status, affiliation, or event details. Do not use PET for card testing, laundering, sham transactions, advance-fee schemes, deceptive fundraising, or evasion of payment-network rules.
Enforcement
We may investigate signals and complaints; request information; preserve evidence; limit imports, delivery, checkout, Wallet, or scanner functions; remove content; suspend users or events; revoke affected credentials; hold actions pending provider review; or report conduct when appropriate. We try to use proportionate measures, but may act immediately where safety, fraud, privacy, payment, or legal risk is significant. Contact hello@privateeventtickets.com to report abuse or appeal an enforcement decision.
